The Duramir convex mirror can be used indoors or outdoors with a weatherproof painted hardboard backing with heavy extruded rubber rims.
These mirrors can be used indoors or out and include the same adjustable ball and swivel and mounting bracket. Like our acrylic convex mirrors, you can get this mirror with a treated hardboard backing. The hardback mirror is also weather resistant and UV resistant. For mild weather conditions or where the mirror is somewhat protected from high winds, the hardback Duramir convex mirrorconvex mirror comes in sizes 13" to 48" and hold up well. For the ultimate in durability and longevity we recommend a Duramir convex mirror with a steel backing. Although you can get a glass convex mirror with steel back, glass will shatter, and tends to be heavier than duramir. The steel backed mirror is strong and the lens is sealed, allowing the mirror to stand up to all but the worst of weather conditions.Where there is constant moisture and constant freezing and thawing (even without wind), you should consider the steel backed for longevity.
