If you are looking for a glass convex mirror, look no further! If there is little chance of the mirror being hit or subjected to rough treatment and you do NOT have a safety issue, then a glass mirror will more than meet your needs.
If you need mirror that is overall good for outdoor enviroments, we would recommend the acrylic convex mirror with a treated hardboard backing.

Glass convex mirrors can be equipped with either a weatherproof hardboard backing or a steel back. The glass convex mirror is availalbe with a weatherproof painted hardboard backing with a heavy duty rim. These mirrors can be used indoors or out and include the same adjustable ball and swivel and mounting bracket.The hardback mirror is also weather resistant and UV resistant. For mild weather conditions or where the mirror is somewhat protected from high winds, the hardback glass convex mirrors hold up well. Hardboard backs are made to withstand rain and moderate wind conditions. The seal is UV resistant and does not melt, sag or dry out from hot summer days. The hardboard backed glass convex mirror comes in sizes 8" to 36".
For the ultimate in durability and longevity we recommend a glass convex mirror with a steel backing. The steel backed mirror is strong and the lens is sealed, allowing the mirror to stand up to all but the worst of weather conditions.Where there is constant moisture and constant freezing and thawing (even without wind), you should consider the steel backed for longevity. However, glass may not be the best option for freezing weather and is more susceptable to cracking and breaking then it's acrylic mirror counterpart. The steel backed, glass convex mirror comes in sizes 8" to 36".
