About our Inspection Mirrors
Inspection mirrors are primarily used for added visibility underneath and above vehicles like:
- Trucks
- Buses
- Construction machinery
- Cars
- Industrial equipment
- Tight areas that are hard to view
Inspection Mirrors are a great asset to provide added security and surveillance. These tools can be used at security checkpoints, traffic inspections, emissions testing, and military purposes, or anywhere where added visibility is desired. With a variety of styles and types of products available, these mirrors range from models with wheels and lights to telescoping models up to 13 feet long! There really is an application available for every need.
Inspection mirrors are available in twelve or eight-inch sizes. They can be convex for wide-angle viewing or flat for a true image view. For added visibility in dark or hard to see areas, choose an inspection mirror with a light attached.
Most inspection mirrors come equipped with an adjustable aluminum handle and adjustable mirror angle to view even the toughest areas clearly. An optional, removable light-weight flashlight has a thick rubber coated housing to minimize the chance of breaking if dropped. The wheels, mirror and handle can be disassembled for storage or transport. You can also remove the wheels and use the mirror as a hand-held unit, or use the caster wheels to move the unit quickly and easily beneath vehicles and equipment. For visibility higher up, choose an inspection mirror with a lightweight telescoping handle to view above shelving, trucks or railcars.
The lens on an inspection mirror comes in two flavors. The most common is a convex mirror lens. A convex mirror lens is going to provide a wider angle view than the other inspection mirror lens type, a flat mirror lens. Both the flat mirror and convex mirror lenses are circular in shape. Flat and convex refers to the curvature of the lens itself. Think back to science class, convex versus concave.
If you want to round out your security, we would also recommend a dome mirror to put in your retail or business. A Dome Mirror comes as a full dome, quarter dome, half dome, drop-in ceiling dome, or pendant security dome. We also carry various specialty mirrors such as forklift mirrors, elavator mirrors, etc.
